These children today took part in a debate about homework and spoke about whether this was a good way to improve learning.
Heygreen pupils said that they liked the project homework that Heygreen sets because it allows them to carry out their own research and be creative. They also appreciated the support their teachers gave them by providing any resources that they might need.
The children also spoke positively about the ‘Homework Hit Squad’ that we have on a Thursday and Friday morning.
The children however felt that additional English and Maths homework, although supports learning, is unessercary as they already have a significant number of English and Maths lessons during school time.
They suggested that a family activity set as a homework task would be more beneficial due to them being encouraged to spend time with their family.
